What is a shopping cart?

In easy terms, a shopping cart is an online adaptation of the regular cart we use in a departmental store. Its key benefit is that you do not have to pay for each item separately. After you add an item to your shopping cart, you may continue shopping for the other items and make a consolidated payment at the checkout. At times, it may give you the additional benefit of quantity discounts, if such an offer is in place at that time. You can reach your shopping cart anytime through the 'View Basket' button.

How can I delete an item from my shopping cart?

Before the final checkout, you will be shown the details of your shopping cart. In the front of each item, there is an option to remove it. Simply click on the "Remove" link below the name of the item. Alternatively, you may update the quantity of the item as ‘0’ on the same page. In both the cases, click update to refresh the cart.

Can I add multiple quantities of the same item in my cart?

Yes, you can. Here’s how:

- Whenever you buy an item from the category-listing page, you use the ‘Buy Now’ or ‘Add Checked Items to Cart’ option. Right beside the ‘Buy Now’ button, you will find a small textbox, where you can manually update the quantity.

- Whichever option you choose above, you are directed to your shopping cart. In front of each item name there is a textbox, which can be used for updating the quantity. Please note that if you are buying from the product description page, you can add multiple items only in the shopping cart.

The default quantity in the textbox is ‘1’ in both the cases. Do not forget to click on the update button before checking out.

How can I add different items to my shopping cart?

To buy a product directly from the category-listing page, check it and click on the ‘Add Checked Items to Cart’ button. This takes you to your shopping cart page. On the product description page, ‘Buy Now’ button serves the same purpose. Now, if you want to add other different items, click on the ‘Keep Shopping’ link on the bottom left of your shopping cart. Similarly, add other items to your cart and click ‘Checkout’ to make the final payment. If you cannot find a checkbox before a product on the categories page, it means the item is currently out of stock.
